Press Release:

SYDNEY 3 August 2005

eClassroom.com.au online Formal CPE courses for Architects are amongst the first to be confirmed as NSW Architects Registration Board  CPE listed activities.

eClassroom.com.au has had all it’s listed online formal CPE courses approved by the NSW Architects Registration Board. Individual course approvals are listed with each course outline.

The NSW Architects Registration Board announced its certification program towards the end of July, 2005, requesting providers of CPE to submit their course material for approval, and subsequent listing by the NSW ARB as an approved CPE activity.

All the courses submitted by eClassroom were approved.

New courses developed, produced and published by eClassroom.com.au will continue to abide by the specific guidelines established by the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia (AACA) as set out in the National Competency Standards in Architecture (NCSA01) and  will be submitted to the NSW Architects Registration Board for individual confirmation.

The development and delivery of appropriate CPE for architects is specifically in focus, as it is now a mandatory requirement for architects, as set out in the NSW Architects Code of Professional Conduct, “to maintain and improve the skills and knowledge necessary for the provision of the architectural services that the architects normally provides.”

This requirement is further specified, such that in any one registration year, each registered architect is required to undertake 20 hours of CPE, 10 hours of which are required to be formal CPE. It is this formal component that eClassroom is focused on delivering through its internet based distance education services.

eClassroom.com.au delivers Formal CPE for Architects in each of the competency areas of Design, Documentation, Project Management and Practice Management, any two of which need to be addressed each year for compliance to the Code.
