Virginia Kerridge’s work is inspiring in its beautiful combination of materials and harmonious integration with site. Virginia describes the manner in which painting and sculpture, particularly the work of Andy Goldsworthy, have influenced her architecture. Virginia Kerridge B.Arch Hons (UNSW)

Virginia is the principal of Virginia Kerridge Architect, which she established in 1995. This practice has not only established itself as one of the significant design practices of contempory housing in Sydney, for both private and commercial development, including athletes housing for the Sydney 2000 Olympics village, but has also enjoyed acclaimed success in retail architecture. Virginia has tutored at UNSW in their Master of Design course, and UTS in Interior Design.

Prior to 1995, Virginia was a principal in the Kerridge Wallace Design Partnership, where she built her first significant new houses in Manly and Mosman, Sydney, and won several awards for her development of the Taylor Street warehouse project. These awards included the 1995 RAIA Merit Award for Architecture and the 1995 RAIA Presidents Award for Recycled Buildings

Virginia has work overseas in London and in New York for Bonnie Roche & Associates, where she was privileged to work under the direction of Bonnie Roche on an apartment renovation for Paloma Picasso.
